Interface Problem

Make sure the unit is idle (ie not playing or recording). Make sure the correct button is pressed (setup/menu). Also make sure the remote is set to operate the correct side of the unit.

Make sure you have any power switches on the device set to on. Also make sure your remote is working, as some STBs may appear dead if the remote isn't telling it to power on.

Please enter your VHS in the player then press your Setup Button> Arrow down then select Timer Recording press right arrow> You will need to select Program number (1 thru 8), you may program up to 8 programs at one time. By using your up and down arrow select a number then process your right arrow> enter date (Once, Daily Mon-Fri or Weekly) >Enter Time using up and down arrow then press right arrow> channel L1, E1 or L2, E2 (External device is connected L1/E1 rear and L2/ E2 is the front.) up and down arrow then press right arrow> Select the speed SP (2hrs) or SLP (6hrs) up and down arrows right arrow to select> After, everything is set and is correct process your Timer Set. Note after timer set the unit will switch to DVD and the timer recording light will lit up. Also, to edit, cancel or to use the VCR side please press the Timer Set button and then your VCR button the remote control.

Tuning

2. Select the Channel option. (If not there, see 3.)
3. Select General settings.
4. Select Channel.
5. Select Auto Scan or Auto channel Preset.
Your unit should start scanning for channels. You may need to select the appropriate source. Ex-Cable, Air, etc...

Make sure your DVD player is connected directly to a TV or RF modulator. *Other External devices (VCR, or AV Switch), may cause the unit to distort the picture due to copyright protections* This is not an issue with the product or television set.
